from the Bay to NC

So I apologize for the gap between blogs, I have been making adjustments out here on the road.

So I left you in Oakland (yeeeeee) which was freakin great! Little did I know my flight home would be an interesting one.

Ai fly from Oakland to Vegas no problem, quick and easy, but Vegas back to Raleigh NC is a hike!

After about an hour in the air this little girl gets sick. She's fainting and what not at first, then she starts throwing up all over the people next to her! It was great! You should have seen them grown folks jumping around like they were avoiding the plague, AWESOME!

So after an hour goes by, this guy close to me starts having heart issues, something about too much fun in Vegas For the first time in real life I heard, "is there a doctor on the plane!" no lie! The funny th rs on the plane!

So the docs are checking this guy out, they have the blood pressure thing for the arm and all. One of the flight attendants pulls out these huge head phones so she can talk to this med unit on the ground!

So the guy turns out to be okay after a little fainting spell and we land safely, best flight ever!

Good Day Gone Bad

So last blog I left you on a high note...riiiiight. Well, upon arriving at my performance venue im thinking to myself, "self, ima tear this show up!" Negative!

Not only was the club packed, the club was packed full of people who had ZERO I repeat ZEEEEROOOOO interest in listening to poetry!

The first artist hits the stage, the mic is 100% static, she yells at the crowd to shut up, the crowd yells back, people walk across her as she tries to perform, I mean, this is easily one of the most disgusting scenes I have ever been apart of.

Second cat gets on stage and yells, "if I offened anyone tonight I sincerely do not apologize!" this was funny and was about to get funnier as he spit while the audience danced and stood in the way of his film crew while they tried to capture video f br>3rd cat gets on stage and starts freestyling a coon song for all the idiots in the audience, its great! He then goes into his second piece, the crowd gets so loud he walks off the mic, jumps into the room full of noise makers and starts yelling, "get your hand outta my pocket!!!" It was the most beautiful ugly thing my eyes ever did see! I honestly don't know if I would have wanted to perform had it not been for the other artists who banged out regardless

Finally I am called on to close out the poetry. So, me being the idiot I am, i'm slow to the mic, shaking the hands of the brave performers before myself, I decide to act up a lil bit. So...before I even decide what piece to do, a group of girls walk across my stage, so I pause and tell the audience to clap for them as they needed to be seen. I cracked a joke on a cat drinking patron out the bottle all alone, and some fat dude with a muscle shirt HA! They hated me, some cat booed but F him, he was wearing skinny right

At any rate, at least im in VIP!

Question, is it ballin to buy a bottle when you don't have anywhere to sit?

I just saw the biggest girl ever drop it like its hot...WOW

Interview on Ozcat

Good evening good's about 10:09pm on the west coast and the Golden Gate bridge is looking good.

So today I had the pleasure and honor of being interviewed on Ozcat radio in Vallejo California (the valley jo as E 40 calls it).

A good radio interview can make you feel like you're worth money you don't even have! (
) I love a good interview, a chance to open up about my wrriting in a way you may not hear from the stage or listening to my albums.

Oakland has been very receptive of me and I am loving them back! Not only was the networking great, but I broke the new album "Spit Personality" for the first time!

What else can I do but quote Ice Cube, today was a good day...and it's not over yet. As I type this im headed to downtown San Francisco fo r>Stay tuned

Dog Tired....

Okay so...I am trying to catch up on sleep after another rock star like show scheduling on this tour.

Last night I was in Charlotte NC performing at the Wine Up (best show ever by the way) and the show let outt at 1:30am, I sold CD's till 2am, immediately hit the road to Raleigh NC and rrived there at 430am, was then dropped off at the RDU airport at 5am, hopped a flight to oakland at 6:15am.

Landed in Oakland at 10:45am. Left the freakin airport at 11:45am. Stopped to eat at Wing Zone at 1pm. Made it to my beautiful hotel with the hottest view (see pic above muahahahahaa) at 1:15pm and finally got to eat my delicious wings and fries.

My homey that plays pro ball comes to pick me up for a work out at 2pm and I am just now back in my room laying down. And after all that i'm not even freakin sleepy eater is across the street! I think i'll see "Last House on the Left"

My first official act in Oakland....stop and eat at wing zone, half lemon pepper wings and half Cajun!

Im fly...

that is all

Best Show Ever!

Last night at The Wine Up in Charlotte North Carolina I put on what I feel was my best show ever!

Have you ever had a moment where everything you did worked? No matter what you did or said every shot dropped and every answer was yes?

That's how I felt during my show last night. The crowd was stuck on my every word as if I could write no wrong. The stage presence was fierce, the audience wanted an encore and the CD's sold out! The show was so good I was almost scared to get on the plane to Cali lol

Tell me, what was your moment of invincibility?

So, we're in Tallahassee performing thursday night...great show, great crowd.

The show ends and we are selling CD's like candy to fat kids! Everything is great, things are smoother than they should be.

So, we leave the venue and make it to our car when we notice that 2 of Cuban's CD boxes are missing. The door to the car is not open nor is any glass broke, when I notice my book bag is missing!

We have been robbed! Cuban lost over 5'000 worth of product! Who steals CD'S ?! I lost a camera and my best underwear! This really sucks!

At any rate, we are ok, the show must go on and we will be in Charlotte North Carolina soon enough.

Thank You to everyone who voiced their concern

Donations! Lol

Stay Tuned.....

A touched listener...

So, here is something that has me pumped up for my show tonight. This email comes from a satisfied customer to say the least lol...

"So it is about 10pm and I am driving to Riverview trying my best to not fall asleep. I reach over to my CD case and your Cd comes tumbling out. Oh Yeah I think to myself, I forgot about this. I pop it in. I hear the smooth voice of Future fill the speakers inside my car. I being alone, turn my radio all the way up. Now Riverview is a cool hour and 10 mintute ride from where I reside so I have time to sit back, unwind and listen to your cd in peace. From track one to track eight I must say that I was beyond impressed, I was thoroughly entertained. I laughed out loud with the studio crowd. I oohed and ahhed, stifled a moan when you totally messed up my mind with that lavishly er h respect is due. You captivated me with your flow, your use of imagery is wonderful and the knowledge that you drop is refreshing and not affected. Only $10.00? Yep that is what I ended up saying to myself, cause I would have gladly paid more knowing now what was in store for me. The next time you head up this way (Tampa or St. Pete) I have got to be in the audience and I would love for you to perform that erotic joint, "Baby? HUH? I know it's not polite to talk with my mouth full" WHAT?!!! Oh and you owe me an apology because when you busted out with "and your eyes roll up so far into your head you can see what you thinking" I promptly choked on my coffee and almost swerved into the car next to me. He cussed me out, I tried to tell him it wasn't my fault but he just flipped me off. My feelings were hurt so yeah I think you owe me a quick Sorry Ma for that one. I did manage to make it to Riverview and back home in one piece by the way, no thanks to you...LOL!!!&q ost making you crash ms lady!

Jacksonville Mic Ripper

So im in Jacksonville Florida at this festival called "Art Walk." There are artist and vendors everywhere! I find a guy to get some time on a mic and its on!

After a brief 2 poem set I head over to this dope burrito spot and order a blackened fish burrito complete with the franks red hot hot sauce and some GHETTO SWEET sweat tea! No lie, it's like diabetes in a cup, JUST HOW I LIKE IT! All of a sudden I'm approached by a guy that's wants to offer me a sit down with some "wealthy investors who have started a label." Future the superstar? I have been down this road before....but it's always fun to stay tuned...

Right before I could press send, I was approached and told I was frickin awesome and that I'm about to blow! woohoooooo

You can't put a price on good people. You can buy comfort in the form of a nice house or even a plush hotel room, but to have it feel like home is priceless.

Heres to good people

What a Day!

So it's 4:40am and I am just now getting to typing this blog. I have wrestled with ideas and stories and how I was going to let you all know about one of the most eventful and entertaining Sundays I have had in a long while...if ever! Well seeing as how nothing overly creative is coming to mind, I'll just "keep it real."

So I woke up around 10:30am. Quick shower, teeth brushing, lotion and clothes. Make it to church around 11:45am (right on time), leave service and hit the parking lot at exactly 1:04pm.

Upon heading back to Tampa I get a call from my fellow artist and tour mate Cuban about a meeting with a lady (who will from this point on be referred to as our "contact") who was touched by our show and wants to help us out. I agree and quickly call an audible. It's about 1:30pm when I stop and eat at this GREAT pizza spot called Ledo's not too far from Tampa. After eating a personal size buffalo chicken pizza I jump back in the car about 2:15pm and notice a health food store so of course I need some muscle milk and alkaline water so I stop again. After a quick look around of the store I'm back in the car and back in Tampa at 3pm.

So Cuban and I have a brief conversation about how we want to approach this potential business opportunity and I am informed that our "meeting" is pushed back 30 minutes because our "contact" will be late, which is cool with me because I'm watching Family Guy and I don't feel like moving. Okay so fast's 5:15pm and I'm pulling up to Maggiano's Italian restaurant prepared to talk business. 5 minutes later I'm at the table and everything seems kosher, Cuban is there, our "contact" is there and we are all ready for something great to come out of this dinner. Mind you, I am full of pizza, water and don't let me forget about this awesome key lime pie from J. Alexanders of Tampa!

It's 5:45pm and the "contact" is asking our preference in wines, we all settle on a white chardonnay, glasses are filled, a quick toast to brainstorming and we are off! Now I'm not a big drinker so I'm sipping slow, before I know it the first bottle is gone,k our food has yet to come out (the lobster ravioli was grrrreat) and the "contact" decides to order another bottle, Cuban and I decide its cool if she wants to order another...what the heck! Glasses fill once again, another toast and we are off! Now its about 6:20pm, we have to be at a show at 9pm and this dinner is no where NEAR being over! Our "contact" is obviously feeling the wine...speech is slurred...attention span extra short, and I believe the use of complete sentences is out of the window. Ok, everyone has finished eating, its about 7pm and our "contact" orders ANOTHER bottle of wine! Yes folks, 3 bottles, like...the "contact" is going HARD right now...I mean DRUNK! not even drunk, I mean DROONK! DROONK like Frank the Tank in the movie "Old School" take it to the head without breathing DROONK! I mean backyard hooch brewing in the clear gallon jugs with the 3 X's on the bottle you shouldn't be drinking this DROONK! Now, sad to say I am not a stranger to being in situations where an individual is having trouble holding their liquor, but the attention we are getting at this time is ridiculous!

A Cuban guy, a Black guy and a white "contact" are sitting in an Italian restaurant....sounds like the start of a joke right? You should have seen the looks we were getting! At one point it was anything but obvious that this "contact" was going to puke at the table. On top of that they were getting all touchy feely and at one point tried to seduce Cuban and the same time!!!! Still drinking and rambling on about much of nothing began to get my coyote ugly on, meaning, I'm sipping wine out of my glass and then putting my cup of water up to my mouth like I'm drinking it, but I'm really spitting the wine out into my water! Yes, the wine cost a little money but come on, I have a performance soon, I have to drive, and drunk is not my style so screw it! I spit the wine out, you are not about to have good'ol Future looking bad on the road. Anyway, in the midst of my wine non sipping, I'm looking for an out, so I ask Cuban to take the "contact" to the here is where it got funny beyond my control. The "contact" stood up and I kid you not, they were leaning like a heroin addict fresh off the needle! I'm talking front, back, side to side UGK style and DIDN'T fall down! Now its coming up on 8pm and I need to leave to make sure I can grab my people for the 9pm show. In the middle of trying to find the appropriate time to leave, the waitress comes to the table and ask if our "contact" is okay. I say, "no! and can you please take the wine away from the table because umm...she ain't gonnna make it!"

I order a round of cappuccinos in hopes that this will help out our "contact." NEGATIVE! Upon returning to the table "they" collapse into the seat and looking aimlessly around the room and at us like "they" don't remember why "they're" here, much less how "they" got here. I mean head swinging back and forth like it weighed a ton!

Ok the time has come for me to ditch this situation as easy as possible. So I tell Cuban I need to go now in order to make it to the show on time. It is 8:15pm, I grab my Lobster ravioli, I hit the door, I'm in the parking lot, I'm in the car, I'm driving home, I think I have made it to freedom...NEGATIVE!!!!! I arrive at my pre show destination around 8:35pm. At 8:40pm I get a phone call from a deeply saddened Cuban, who is asking me why I left him alone (sad face). He informs me of how the "contact" was so drunk, sorry, I mean DROONK, that he had to assist in paying the bill for "them", which came out to just under $300!! The waitress was pissed, the manager had to come out and attempt to escort the "contact" out of the diner, a cab had to be called to get the "contact" home, and on top of all of this, the ENTIRE restaurant is focused on Cuban trying to take care of this individual!

It is now 9pm, I am officially 15 minutes late for the show, driving the highway while trying to talk Cuban out of his slight depression from the evenings events when I realize that the venue WE are performing at is one I have not been to in a few years due to money still being owed to me from a previous performance!

As if I have any pride left to swallow, I pull up to the venue, cordial as can be, Cuban and I rock out, sell CD's and wrap up the show. It is
